Rockstar Games to unveil GTA VI in December
Rockstar Games has announced it will finally debut the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer in December.
In a post on Rockstar Newswire and X, formerly known as Twitter, the developers confirmed it would share its first official look at the game next month to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Rockstar Games.
Sam Houser, the president of Rockstar Games, also spoke about the company's history in the message.
"In 1998, Rockstar Games was founded on the idea that video games could come to be as essential to culture as any other form of entertainment, and we hope that we have created games you love in our efforts to be part of that evolution."
The highly anticipated GTA VI reveal comes 10 years after Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto V, which has been a critical and financial success for the company since 2013.
While there is no official release date for the game, in its yearly earnings report Rockstar Games publisher Take-Two Interactive hinted at a possible April 2024 to March 2025 release window.
"In Fiscal 2025, we expect to enter this new era by launching several groundbreaking titles that we believe will set new standards in our industry," Take-Two Interactive said in a press release alongside their earnings report last May.
The first Grand Theft Auto game came out in 1997.
